Eat Well, Support Local Farmers

The weekly Farmers Market at UNU may be temporarily suspended due to COVID-19, but you can still get farm-fresh produce.

In 2009, the first Farmers Market at UNU was held in Aoyama, connecting Tokyoites and visitors to Tokyo with the produce and people of rural Japan. Since then – rain, hail or shine – the markets have continued every weekend. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the markets are temporarily suspended.

To continue to support the livelihood of farmers, and to provide a healthy eating network for everyone, we have compiled a running list of where you can pick-up and order fresh local produce to your doorstep (we will keep updating this page with new information). We have also listed up the restaurants that support the market and where you can buy good food for takeaway.

Some farmers will have their stalls at COMMUNE, our permanent site for a smaller farmers market located in Omotesando (within a 10 minute walk from the Farmers Market at UNU location, and about 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station).
